Levend Bouwwerk. De Verzwelger is vergroeid met de kerkermuren; als bonusactie kan hij gangen laten instorten of doorgangen laten verdwijnen binnen 18 m.
Verborgen Hart. Zolang het verborgen hart van De Verzwelger (AC 15, 40 HP, apart doelwit) niet vernietigd is, geneest het lichaam 10 HP aan het begin van elke beurt.
Muren die Ademen. De Verzwelger kan niet verrast worden zolang hij aan een muur, vloer of plafond van de kerker verbonden is.
Multiattack. De Verzwelger voert twee Muurvuist-aanvallen uit.
Muurvuist. Aanvalsworp met wapen (nabij): +9, bereik 3 m, één doelwit. Trefkans: 18 (3d8+5) kneuzende schade.
Verzwelgen. Eén wezen binnen 1,5 m moet een DC 16 Behendigheids-redding maken of ingesloten worden in de muren; een ingesloten wezen is verstikt en loopt aan het begin van elke beurt van De Verzwelger 14 (4d6) kneuzende schade op.
The Story
Everyone knows the old ruin in the hills, the Kerker van Gholmaw: dark corridors, chambers heaped with gold, adventurers walking in. What no one realizes is that no one ever walks out. The ruin is no structure but a creature, and the treasure is bait.
The walls breathe. Doors snap shut like wet jaws. Corridors seep acid the moment you linger too long, and the floor digests the bones of those who came before you. The creature lures with the scent of coins and jewels and shifts its own entrails to draw its prey ever deeper.
You have to read what the body tells you: which corridor is a gullet, which chamber a stomach, where the rhythm pounds hardest. You snuff out digestive juices, escape closing veils of flesh, and follow the heartbeat toward the center while the creature contracts around you.
The twist: De Verzwelger, as the elders call Gholmaw, keeps its heart in no single place but lets it wander, and every time you wound an 'organ' the creature grows fiercer and tighter. In the final chamber its walls clench into a fist while the hidden heart hammers wildly; you must pierce it as the walls creep inward to crush you. Strike true and the whole dungeon dies around you; miss, and you become its next meal.
