The Story
The caravan crawls through the mountain pass as the sun sinks and throws long shadows across the dust. Gold, silk, and spices sway in the wagons, and one chest is guarded more heavily than all the rest, a chest no one will speak of. The guards watch the rock walls as if expecting something.
And then it comes. A whistle shrills from the cliffs, and on both sides of the pass masked figures appear. Their leader, Sela Vosmasker, a scarf drawn across her face, knows exactly what the caravan is carrying. This is no chance robbery: someone in the caravan has talked, and the question is who. No one here is what they claim, not the merchant, not the guards, and maybe not even your employer.
You navigate a web of deceit: bargain with Sela Vosmasker, question nervous drivers, unmask the traitor in your own ranks, and decide whose side you take when the arrows start to fly. Every choice shifts who is your ally and who shoots you in the back.
The twist lies in the chest itself: what it holds is worth the murder and the deceit, and both the merchant and the bandits have lied about it. When the truth is laid bare, the pass erupts into a chaotic fight on narrow rock ledges, and you must live with the side you chose, and with whatever is in that chest.
