The Story
Beneath the market square a maze of tunnels dives away, dug by thousands of small, eager hands. Torches smoke on the walls and the air reeks of smoke, mud, and goblin. Somewhere deeper drumming and chanting echo, not war cries, but worship.
It began innocently enough: the goblins stole a farmer's sow. But there is more than a pack of petty thieves inside the hill. Their new leader is no ordinary goblin. Grot de Verslinder is revered by his tribe as a prophet, and his first command was as simple as it was deadly: dig upward, toward the city, and take everything that glitters and moves.
You breach the warren through traps, dropping nets, and dens full of sniggering warriors. You can fight your way in, slip through the forgotten shafts, or turn the superstitious tribe against their own leader. Along the way you free a captive merchant, discover how far the tunnels already reach beneath the city, and hear the drumming grow ever louder.
In the deepest cavern Grot de Verslinder sits enthroned atop a mountain of stolen loot, larger and cannier than his kin, ringed by his most fanatical followers. Defeat him, and the tribe scatters in panic. But the tunnel to the city is nearly finished, and if you come too late, the horde breaks loose aboveground among the unsuspecting market stalls.
