The Story
Deep in a sleeping volcano, cultists in scarlet robes kneel around a pit of fire, their chants echoing off the vault while draconic script glows red on the walls. The heat shudders with every step, and somewhere far below, something enormous growls. A defecting cultist pulls you behind a boulder: their master is awake, and her hunger is no figure of speech.
The young red dragon Ignaxa slept for a century, and the cult fed her with offerings until she woke. Now she wants more than the valley: her masters are planning a ritual that will bind her fire to the volcano itself, enough to blot out the sky with ash and lay the region under an eternal glow. Every offering in the pit brings that hour closer.
You must push through lava tunnels and sacrificial chambers, defeat the cultists and their chained fire-beasts, and sabotage the ritual before the final offering burns. The defector can lead you past the guards, but his loyalty is brittle when the dragon calls his name inside his head.
In the heart of the volcano waits Ignaxa, the Awakened Flame Dragon, on her throne of molten stone, fed on offerings for a century and now awake and hungry, beside the high priest who means to unleash her. Break the cult and slay the dragon and the volcano dies down; fail, and Ignaxa rises through a sky she turns black, and there is no valley left to return to.
