Mantel van Duizend Kraaien. Als reactie op oplopende schade kan de Kraaienkoning die omzetten in een wegvliegende zwerm kraaien: hij lijdt slechts de helft van de schade en verplaatst zich tot 6 m.

Elke Schuld Telt. De Kraaienkoning weet altijd wie hem ooit bedrogen heeft of hem een gunst schuldig is binnen 1,6 km.

Verandergestalte. Als actie kan de Kraaienkoning veranderen in een enkele reuzenkraai of terugkeren naar zijn ware vorm.

Actions

Multiattack. De Kraaienkoning voert twee Klauwenzwaai-aanvallen uit.

Klauwenzwaai. Aanvalsworp met wapen (nabij): +8, bereik 1,5 m, één doelwit. Trefkans: 12 (2d6+5) snijdende schade.

Zwerm van Klauwen en Snavels (Recharge 5-6). Elk wezen binnen 4,5 m moet een DC 17 Behendigheids-redding maken; bij falen 26 (4d10+4) snijdende schade en verblind tot het einde van zijn volgende beurt, bij slagen de helft van de schade zonder verblinding.

The Story

At the edge of the old Zwartveer forest rules the Kraaienkoning, a fey lord whose cloak is woven of a thousand living crows and whose memory is older than the village itself. His birds count every death, know every secret, and never forget a debt.

Generations ago the village struck a pact with him: protection and good harvests in exchange for a yearly toll. But the villagers have forgotten the terms, or pretend to, and now the king comes to collect the accrued interest, in grain, in secrets, or in firstborn children. The crows are already gathering above the rooftops.

You land in the middle of the bargaining: decipher the old pact, work out what the village truly promised and what tricks the king hides in his phrasing. You can try to negotiate, find a counter-offering, uncover his true name, or defy him in his own forest, each with its own dangers.

The twist: the village broke the pact first, years ago, and offered something of the Kraaienkoning's to another power; he does not come merely to collect but bent on vengeance, and the right is on his side. In the climax you must choose: force a fair price through fey law, or defeat the Kraaienkoning in a whirlwind of feathers and talons before his cloak of a thousand crows strips the village to the bone.
