Traits

One Eye, One Cauldron. As long as at least two sisters are conscious, they share their sight and hear each other's thoughts, regardless of distance. They have advantage on saving throws against being charmed and against being surprised.

Coven Magic. Each round, the three sisters can together cast one of the following spells (no material components required): shift the mist, speak with dead, or pronounce a curse (see Cauldron Curse).

Memory Hunger. When the coven kills a creature that has been touched by Soul Grasp, each sister regains 10 hit points.

Actions

Multiattack. The coven makes two attacks, divided among the sisters, with Cauldron Staff.

Cauldron Staff. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (2d6+2) bludgeoning damage plus 4 (1d8) necrotic damage.

Soul Grasp (Recharge 5-6). The coven targets a creature within 30 feet. The target must make a DC 15 Intelligence saving throw, taking 22 (4d10) psychic damage and losing 1 random memory (DM's choice) on a failure, or half as much damage on a success.

The Story

The fen breathes rot and sweet smoke. Three crooked huts stand on stilts of living roots, and in each hut dwells a sister: the Laughing, the Weeping, and the Silent. Between them they share one eye, one cauldron, and one bottomless hunger. Whoever asks them a favor pays with a memory, and whoever asks too much forgets in the end who he ever was.

A desperate errand brings you to their threshold: only the sisters know where the missing village children have gone, or how to break a curse no one else can lift. But the witches do not bargain fairly. Every favor hides a catch, every answer costs more than it is worth, and their cauldron bubbles with something that looks suspiciously like earlier visitors.

You strike cunning deals, play the three against one another, ransack the huts for the shared eye that binds their power, and wade through the marsh where their previous victims took root as crooked willows. Along the way you come to understand what the sisters are truly after: not your gold, but the memories that make you who you are.

When the deceit comes to light, the Coven of Three Sisters unites above the boiling cauldron into a single furious power, their shared eye glowing with age-old hunger. Will you break the Coven of Three Sisters, reclaim the stolen memories, and wade out of the fen with your minds still intact, or will you forget even your own names by dawn?
